Oh snap! Was looking at the site thinking:

"That's some brave use of yellow and white, and he pulled it off too. Let's see if the icons do it justice. Oh, there's the preview butt... *jaw drops* ...awesome!"

Not so much impressed with the icons (they're nice) but the simple effect used in a unique way. Kick-ass, bold design, awesome use of a simple effect to sell a product.

It's DIY gone horribly, hilariously wrong. These tough economic times call for some serious thrift I guess. Just depends on how far one is willing to take it.

The BBC (bless them) writes about a 13 year old who swaps an iPod for his dad's Walkman for a week. Some of the choicest bits include:

"I managed to create an impromptu shuffle feature simply by holding down "rewind" and releasing it randomly - effective, if a little laboured."

or

"I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser, but later I discovered that it was in fact used to switch between two different types of cassette."

Worthy of a read just to remind you that you are old, no matter how young you really might be.
